Just minutes after we published today’s global earthquake update, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck the Eastern Mediterranean, 14 km south of Kasos Island, Greece, at 1:51 am local time.

The quake was felt across Greece, Türkiye, Egypt, and Libya, and follows earlier swarms in Santorini and Campi Flegrei, both covered in our latest reports.
