Israel has ‘no justification’ than a complete defeat of Hamas
Former British Commander Richard Kemp says there is “no justification whatsoever” of anything other than a complete defeat of Hamas in Gaza.
The Palestinian Authority hopes a ceasefire with Israel can be agreed upon in time for Ramadan.
“It must happen, and Israel must be supported by its allies to bring that about,” Mr Kemp told Sky News Australia.
“It’s not just the West that should be wanting that – it’s also Middle Eastern countries, Arab countries.
“Whatever they might say in public, they really want Israel to smash Hamas ... they want to see a strong Israel.”
