The Marriott Kaua'i Beach Club is one of Marriott's premiere properties on the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i. It is very conveniently located in the main island town of Lihue and, with the courtesy offered hotel shuttle, is a very easy property to reach. But because of it's location close to the island's airport, and within the footprint of the island major city, the property doesn't offer all the spectacles that make Kaua'i the most amazing of the Hawaiian island... in our opinion.
While the Marriott Kaua'i Beach Club may not be located in the most amazing location on the island, it does afford some spectacular amenities that make it an above average destination. Chief among them is the amazing pool and beach front.
In this "Hotel Review", that will not focus on a review of the room - which is lacking in our opinion, we will focus on showing you the hotel grounds. If you should decide to stay at this property, we need to tell you that that the rooms are seriously subpar compared to the amenities of the property. The hotel is located in an industrial area and air traffic is prominent. This is a serious trade off with regards to this resort has to offer.
As a Marriott Bonvoy titanium member, you saw little benefits as this is a "resort property" and much of the member benefits are not applicable to a resort property (no upgrades or complimentary breakfast). While there are many room with amazing views of the beach area, unless you pay for the specific room or are a Marriot timeshare member, it's unlikely you will enjoy an upgrade opportunity. "Applying a "suite night" award is out of the question. So be forewarned.
At the end of the day, do we recommend the Kaua'i Beach Club? Honestly, no... In the last few years, we have stayed at four Marriott properties on this island. As dedicated Marriott Bonvoy members, we saw the least rewards of our membership benefits here than at any of the four properties on the island that we have stayed at. Yes, it has some spectacular features that can not be denied. But at the end of the day, we need to make decisions on what offers us the most bang for the buck and the Marriott Kaua'u Beach Club resort doesn't meet that bill....
