B-Roll of USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Departing Naval Station Norfolk, Va.
USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) departs Naval Station Norfolk, Va., as the lead ship in the Carrier Strike Group (CSG). Lincoln along with ships and aircraft assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 2 and Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 7, will be conducting maritime security and theater security efforts in the 5th, 6th, and 7th area of operations. Joining the strike group will be the Spanish Bazan-class frigate ESPS Mendez Nunez (F 104). USS Abraham Lincoln will complete her deployment with a homeport change to San Diego, Calif.
