a DECKHAND, Detailing a Bayliner. Heavy oxidation, bad Gelcoat. Few words.

How to @ 3:30

I have a ton of videos on this subject. If you're here to learn, I'm here to help.
I did a few short videos on this boat earlier but thought it deserved a bit more of an exposé.

(4 months later for all the haters out there) learn to use compound correctly and stop the hate, that simple. All the 👎🏽 in the world won't help anyone, leave a comment unless you're a punk who can only do 👎🏽... Say something, use your words or stfu.

I'm not going to share what I did in front of the windshield, that's mine and my student's only. The important thing to know about it is that there's a way. You might figure it out on your own, keep trying.

This boat is a display. I'm doing the starboard bow corner and the port side stern quarter and leaving the rest as found. If this doesn't convince people that we know what we're talking about, I don't know what else to do. I'm not about flashy vids and selling stuff just to make money while not knowing jack-shit about my craft.

Heavy cut wasn't necessarily needed but in spots, it can help.

The light spot on the hull, starboard side is sunlight coming through from the interior side. It isn't a burn-through. If the decals lasted, so did the gelcoat.

Keep Wetsanding if you have time to kill. I have boats to buff and shizz to do.

Deckhand Detailing llc in Seattle is charging over $400-600 for a class that's basically a crossword puzzle game. Then you watch my videos and take tests... Sounds stupid as shit but you do get a certificate when done.. 😑

Pretty sure I have a contract or agreement with Deckhand Detailing llc that says that none of my likeness or intellectual property is to be used by them. Seems my pen gets no rest this year. I can't wait.

After almost 2 years, can't they produce any decent content of their own? "self made woman" lol😅😂🤮🤮 (her lying words not mine)

Seems the "class" offered by these lawless heathens (sold for around $400-600 depending on the week?) has modules, ooh. You read a paragraph or 2 and then you've "accomplished" all of them, you can earn a certificate worth jack-squat for your money and efforts, watching my vids...

In 15 years, how many people have asked me for my certificate? NONE!

Basically she cut-N-pasted lots of content from a book we produced, it makes up a majority of the "modules" (buy the book for $11 on Amazon to save money) Then you're told to watch "as many of the videos as you can" (my videos) and "get an idea of what works best for you" Classic education there folks. Get an idea... Isn't that what the money was for? To have an idea and not be looking for one?

The certificate or Willy Wonka Golden Ticket Certification that you can do nothing with, that printing one off yourself couldn't accomplish, is your only your reward.
So pay $400-600 and watch some youtube vids (mine)

Why my videos? Because clearly they can't seem to produce any videos showing you how to wax a boat themselves. Sure, trust them.. (nope)

Or just spend $11 online for the book and watch ANY boat detailing videos and get just as far. No pretty certificate in the end but more money and knowledge in your head/pocket for the cost.

If you are interested in learning gelcoat come learn from the one who made Deckhand Detailing stick out from the crowd. Everything else can be Googled in a few days. Trust me, I learned on the fly and was a better detailer than the person at the helm of DD now within the first day. Her best work on a boat was never cleaning one. 😉 Right Jr? 😅👍🏼
