Making Jeon: Korean Pancakes ♦ How I Spent Chuseok with My Family in Korea

Get a peek into how I spent one of the most important celebrations in Korea! I join my family in Seoul the day before Chuseok to make various types of jeon (savory Korean pancakes). Watch us make sweet potato pancakes, lotus root pancakes, meat patties, and more!

In the evening my cousin and I drink Korean beer and soju while munching on Eomuktang (Fish Cake Soup) and Donkatsu (Breaded Pork Cutlet). I inhale six shots of soju and still manage to do a clay mask on my face before heading to bed past midnight.

The next morning we wake up at 7am to prepare for Jesa (ancestral rites), then enjoy a feast! Upon digesting for a bit, we head over to my other aunt's house to reunite with my grandmother and other extended family members. A Cracker Party ensues.
