TUNNEL-A-PHILIA: A love of tunnels. Falkirk Tunnel explored end to end, part of the Union Canal.
Falkirk Tunnel is the longest canal tunnel to be built in Scotland and was completed in 1822. It forms part of the Union Canal. I walk the 630m length and inspect the 200 year old masonry, brickwork and marvel at the work.
