The Rolling Stones - Midnight Rambler (best live version ever !!!)

Doing my Stones cover in just 2 days made me feel like posting this extraordinary version of "Midnight rambler" recorded in 1971 at The Roundhouse (London). In this era, the Stones were simply the best live proposition as far as pure R'n'R is concerned with an incredible twin guitar package : the ferocious riffs and rythms of M. Richards and the amazingly lyrical lead work of Mick Taylor, the best player who ever belonged to the band. On this version, their combined talents prove to be just explosive... add a great groovy rythm section (with the extremely underrated Bill Wyman, one helluva bass player imo) and a Mick Jagger in fine vocal form (even if his harp playing is merely average), and you've got a stunning "Midnight rambler", much better that the version they recorded for "Get yer's ya out" back in 1969.

Take a trip with their satanic majesties... now !
