VLOG: we finally left the house! | Kryz Uy

I haven’t been out of the house in about two/three months (save for one doctor’s appointment early ECQ). It was my first time seeing the empty streets of Cebu again when we went to the hospital for a 36 week ultrasound check-up. My first reaction? How surreal. It felt like we were in a twilight zone. The city was so quiet. Zero traffic- hardly any cars to be exact! Even the hospital was deserted! I wonder how long Cebu will look like this.

As crazy and scary as the outside world looks like right now, I’m even more scared and anxious about my delivery. There are so many new rules and protocols that the hospitals are implementing, making it harder and harder for expecting moms to find comfort. It’s like a pile of triggers being thrown at me from all angles. It’s hard to feel safe, and hard to get control over a situation a lot of us are still in the dark about. I understand that these protocols need to be in place for the safety of the community though. I just need to remind myself to keep strong for our little family, and that I am stronger than I think I am.

I’m taking this time slow, and just enjoying the rest of the time with my husband and skyskybear until we meet our little one. For all the moms who are also expecting, I hope sharing my experiences like this helps you in any way possible. Know that you are not alone. X
