LOLLAR PICKUPS - Shop Sessions Episode 7: Mike Gronsky

In this episode of Shop Sessions, we're joined by Mike Gronsky. Mike was on tour and dropped by the shop on his stop in Tacoma. He was kind enough to lay down a few tracks using a Fender Strat outfitted with Lollar Deluxe Foil and Super-Caster pickups.

In this session, Mike's creative playing takes cues from blues, funk, and soul while using tools such as looper and octave pedals to fill in the space normally occupied by a backup band.

*About Mike Gronsky*
Mike is a multi-genre artist and guitarist based out of Nashville, TN. In the vein of folk music, Gronsky kicked off 2025 with a devastatingly honest yet hopeful 11-song album titled, “In The Springtime”. This was followed up with a 7-song video series of live, studio performances containing songs off the record as well as new material (check out “Tacoma Blues” - shout out to Lollar)!

In 2026, you can expect a brand new 4-track EP from Gronsky’s funk project, Pinch Hitters. Based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana, this group consists of Colin Boyd on drums and percussion, Anthony Giraldi + Gronsky on guitars, and Casey Stansifer on bass. Inspired by bands like The Meters, Vulfpeck, D’Angelo, The Roots, and Tom Misch, this instrumental funk band is guaranteed to get you up on your feet!

Finally, keep your eyes out for a new project from Gronsky + renowned New York drummer and percussionist, Jordan Rose (as seen with Theo Katzman of Vulfpeck, Maggie Rogers, Laufey, Jacob Collier, Cory Wong, and many more).
