Avatar Characters That Returned In Korra's Timeline

When The Legend of Korra first aired on television in 2012, it was not only the occasion of meeting brand new characters, but also to learn what happened to the first Team Avatar. While some of them like Aang and Sokka have died prior to Korra’s first episode, we nevertheless got the chance to see them through flashbacks or in spirit form. While Avatar: The Last Airbender’s comic books are currently slowly filling the blanks between the events of Avatar and Korra, and Korra’s story is continuing using the same medium, her series nevertheless gave us some information about what happened to the previous Team Avatar.

Tons of old characters meet the new in the sequel series: Katara acts both as a mother figure and a waterbending teacher to Korra, Toph is chilling at the Foggy Swamp disconnected from the rest of the world, Aang appears in spirit form to give Korra’s bending back and grant her the knowledge of energybending, and helps Tenzin find his way out of the Fog of Lost Souls. We also get to see the knowledge spirit Wa Shi Tong make a comeback, Zhao completely losing his mind in the Spirit World, and a brief apparition by the cabbage merchant’s grandson who now owns Cabbage Corp.

In today’s Avatar video I will discuss characters that returned during Korra’s timeline, from Uncle Iroh calmly sipping tea in the spirit world to Zuko still well and alive, now with an amazing dragon called Druk.
