Tarp lean to shelter in the snow / open fire heating.

The weather took a turn for the worst with -9C real feel temperatures predicted! We had good intentions for a warm Spring Hammock camp. Bloody weather!

So we decided to ground dwell and just go for it in true Gareth&Zoe style! DD hammocks tarp XL, set up in a 'lean to, with sides' configuration, Alpkit mats, Quechua sleeping bags, duck down quilts. We were plenty warm enough through the night and the camp fire was worth its weight in gold!
Cooking on the fire made a nice change and Gareth harvested his first bit of fatwood too so he was pleased :)
