Kitten Season Survival Guide: Your Roadmap to expanding kitten lifesaving

A lost kitten rouses our instincts to protect. When someone finds a kitten outside, their first reaction is to pick up the kitten and take them to the nearest shelter or rescue group. We’ve trained our communities to bring in healthy stray animals, and as a result we are inundated with neonates throughout kitten season. In many cases, though, healthy stray kittens are in the best position to thrive if they are returned outside with mom.This session features the procedures for kitten diversion and for healthy community kittens, and it explains how to engage with the community to provide support in cases where intervention is necessary. You will leave the session equipped with our kitten season survival toolkit so that you can make successful pathway plans for this vulnerable population.
