Jack Mack and the Heart Attack Live in Utah 1983 (full show)
Words that come to mind that describe this show are, Fast paced, non stop, super tight, super fun, dynamic, high energy and soulful. In 1983 Jack Mack and the Heart Attack was one of the most popular bands in Los Angeles. They had just released their first album, "Cardiac Party" produced by Eagle, Glenn Frey when 1983 they were asked to shoot a live performance in a soundstage in Utah. This show was recorded by the infamous recording engineer George Massenburg. One band member said what he remembered most about this performance is that the lights were so hot that it melted their sneakers. This is Jack Mack at their finest. 5 blazing, dancing horns (Bill Bergman, Lee Thornburg, John (JB) Berry, Greg Smith and Jim Coile), Jack Mack (aka Claude Pepper), with his intense back beat drumming. Max Gronenthal aka Max Carl's great songs and dynamic vocals, Andrew Kastner's stinging soulful guitar, Scott Chambers in the pocket Bass playing and John Paruolo's burning B3 playing made Jack Mack one of the best live bands that ever existed on the planet. If you don't believe me, watch the video and see for yourself.
