Central Asian Shepherds also know as Alabai Dogs are one the oldest and heartiest of the Livestock Guardian Dogs. These dogs that are the native dogs of Central Asia, which includes the countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The Alabai dog guarded the flock from the regions fiercest predators including wolves, jackals, snow leopards, and bears. These dogs have been forged by time and are a shining example of Large guardian breeds.
