Nail bed adhesion first Flashforge AD5X set up and 1st layer stress test

In this video I show my FlashForge AD5X printer setup and explain why bed adhesion is the first thing you need to get right if you want reliable prints. Before worrying about speed, materials, or upgrades, a solid first layer makes the biggest difference.

I walk through my AD5X setup, the build plate I use. I also touch on the importance of keeping filament moisture low, including using silica gel and dry storage solutions. Some of the items shown or mentioned may be linked in the description, and these are optional tools I personally use, not requirements. Wet filament can cause poor first layers and adhesion problems even when the bed is set up correctly.

To prove the point, I run a stress test designed to push adhesion to its limits, showing what happens when the bed is dialled in properly.
