How to Sell at International Trade Shows: The CeBIT IT Show

International trade shows are a great way for small and midsized companies to find buyers for their products. Hundreds of shows in dozens of sectors are held in Germany, which has been trade show central for hundreds of years. This five-part video takes you to one such show in the IT sector. No matter what sector you’re in you will learn the following: the scope and size of international trade fairs; the benefits of having buyers from dozens of countries under one roof; other benefits of exhibiting at the shows including exposure in industry press; best exhibition practices; business culture protocol; and help from U.S. government export promotion programs. Also, on the trade show grounds you’ll visit an Oktoberfest that occurs every night year round. The U.S. Commercial Service of the Department of Commerce provides assistance to U.S. companies and foreign buyers of U.S. goods before, during and after major trade shows in Europe. This video illustrates the help available involves finding buyers, promoting your products via show media, learning about competitors, and renting a variety of different spaces http://www.export.gov/webinars/eg_main_079654.asp
