These cars are more Mazda portage than ford anything, it actually shares the portages platform known as BG. The drivetrain is a Mazda produced 1.8l bp or bp05, this is the same engine used in the NA and NB Miata , it’s a great little engine.

The current build plan for this project is a EBAY… CXracing T3/T4, it’s a T04B V trim clone from what I can tell. 1000cc ev14 injectors because I might run E85 , and a diyautotune Megasquirt DIYPNP and innovate LC-2 for engine management. Everything else from the setup had to be made because there are no bolt on kits for fwd mazda BPs.
