"I love coming back here," said Neil Bush, founder and chair of the George H. W. Bush Foundation for U.S.-China Relations. The 2023 Understanding China Conference was held from December 1 to 3 in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province. On the sidelines of this event, Bush told CGTN's Tian Wei that he loves coming back to China and he wants to resume his routine of visiting China eight or nine times a year. His China forays take him far away from the first-tier cities and into small towns where entrepreneurs are deploying promising renewable energy installations. The U.S.-China gravity-based energy storage project is a model for cooperation between the two sides, he said.
