In the Masai Mara, a lions pride has new cubs, and a mother Lioness is nursing her cubs. Just like all babies, the first few months of their lives; baby lions are depended on their mothers. For Lions, Cubs are depended on their mothers until they are about 16 months of age. They breastfeed for 7-10 months before they learn how to hunt. As they grow older, they must scuffle for a chance to get their mother's milk.
