Legacy of Wisdom- Anna Halprin- Inner Doctor

The Legacy of Wisdom projects focuses on Wisdom as a central theme of life and aging. As such, the non-profit project tries to touch upon many issues common to an aging generation - no matter what age you are now!

There is a sense in many people that "school medicine" has a limited view of what healing and health are. At the same time we are dependent on our systems for care. We explore here the concept of the possibility of an "inner doctor" -- a sort of state of being that allows for an innate and natural place in us to provide a kind of healing. Anna Halprin talks about her Cancer and the success she had in using imagery and painting in working out aspects that allowed a harmony with the school medicine and provided a cure from that cancer for her. "Not for everyone" she says, "but it worked for me".
