We caught Papa Red Fox taking a break and striking a pose late yesterday afternoon while once again hauling a meal down off the mountain to the family below. In that he's hauling only half a hare, I presume he is hauling the other half inside after taking a meal to sustain himself. He's been continuously hunting and bringing food to his family for months. I took the opportunity to post this zoomed in close up view of this prolific hunter. He sure is a sharp looking animal, even though he's in the midst of shedding his winter coat. Wishing he and his family good fortune and eating in the future...
