Optoma PK301 Pico Projector Damaged DLP Chip Replacement

This time I am repairing a PK301 by replacing the DLP chip with one from a donor pico projector (ended up using an 854x480 chip from my iGo projector). The PK301 had catastrophic damage to much of the display with many of the tiny mirrors stuck on permanently showing white pixels in the image. I go through dismantling the projector, extracting the damaged chip, replacing with the new chip, and finally calibrating the color balance through the service menu. Sorry for all the jump cuts, I had to film many different parts at different times. Not too hard of a repair but is costly if you don't have a replacement chip like I luckily did. All in all it was a fun experience and I learned a few things along the way!

I've posted a link for Ebay purchase referrals. Full disclosure: I'm trying out something new, if you use the link below then I get a small kickback from your purchase (it will cost you nothing, I just get paid for referring customers).
