In Conversation With... Jessye Norman

TIFF is delighted to partner with the Glenn Gould Foundation to honour five-time Grammy winner, opera superstar, humanitarian, and civil rights activist Jessye Norman as the 12th recipient of the Glenn Gould Prize. This in-depth conversation, hosted by Canadian Opera Company General Director Alexander Neef, will focus on her tremendous career in opera, her collaborations with such filmmakers and performers as Julie Taymor, Albert Maysles, Placido Domingo, Robert Wilson, Elton John, and Bruce Springsteen, and her observations about such famed cinematic adaptations of operas as Ingmar Bergman’s The Magic Flute and Joseph Losey’s Don Giovanni.
