Watercolor Tutorial CABBAGE PALM TREES

Painting palm trees in watercolor may look complicated, but it is not if one observes the shape and structure of the fronds. The best way to paint the fronds is with quick decisive strokes holding the brush mid way in the handle so as to have more control for the way the fronds hang, and fold. Cabbage Palm fronds hang similar to the Washingtonian Palm fronds, but fold differently.
