Michael McCormack is the 'Joe Biden of Australian politics': Alan Jones

Sky News host Alan Jones says Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack is the "Joe Biden of Australian politics".

The remarks come after Mr McCormack said in parliament he would "much sooner live in Australia than anywhere else in the nation" and in response to the government's lack of response to the NSW mouse plague said "We have signed a Free Trade Agreement overnight".

"Joe Biden is alive and well in Australia," Mr Jones said.

"David Littleproud, you're the deputy. There is still a mice plague on out there. You have said it was a state issue.

"Bridget McKenzie, Matt Canavan, Barnaby Joyce and others are giving hope to all Australians, not just regional Australia, only to find damage to the brand done by leaders like McCormack and Littleproud, who debase the meaning of the word leader."
