Daybreak in Dixie - Advanced Mandolin Tutorial

In this video, we take a look at Daybreak and Dixie and how I arrange my breaks. Daybreak in Dixie is an old fiddle tune with early versions recorded by the Stanley Brothers. Since then, it's became a bluegrass mandolin staple with many mandolinist playing the tune like Sierra Hull and Adam Steffey.

I arrange my breaks in a variety of different ways and borrow licks and rifts from different musicians and versions, but I hope some of the information here is useful to your own rendition of the tune.
