Maximum optical zoom at 4k is 60x 1440mm. Cropping to 1080p would up that to 120x 2880mm and still look good for this type of camera. Even cropping 20MP stills down to 1080 are not too bad and would get you 240x zoom. Even though the digital zoom at 4k looks good I think I will stick with optical and just crop it later if needed. Even though the image quality is ok I'm glad I bought this over the P900. From what I can tell the B700 looks just as good as the P900 if not better after cropping.
