Turo Customer's car Vandalized - on the hook for a $35,000 Repair!

This highlights the downside to Turo as it's not an actual rental company. I'm thinking this is fraud because of the inflated bill and targeted nature of the crime. However "thinking" and "proving" are two very different things though, what would you do in the scenario?
