A funny thing happened to me on the way to the market last night and no, it’s not the start of a bad joke. A man on a motorbike pulled up beside us as we were walking and started talking to Ta, he seemed quite excited and very friendly. Was he trying to sell something? Haha No, it turns out that he is one of our subscribers. It’s wonderful knowing that we have many Thai subscribers who are happy to see their country through a farang’s eyes. I like to think that it means that we’re doing a good job.

He doesn’t speak any English, but he told Ta how much he loves our Channel, saying that it’s awesome. He said that he is selling his house and attached restaurant and asked if I would help him with writing some English about the property. I told him that I would have to come and have a look around and he immediately asked Ta and I to come and have lunch there. So I countered by saying, only if we can do a video.
