WLVI Channel 56 - Creature Double Feature - "War of the Monsters" (Opening, 1/15/1977) 👾

Here's another rare, complete original opening (although pretty bad quality due to reception problems) of Creature Double Feature on WLVI Channel 56 in Cambridge/Boston, MA! A shame this wasn't from WFLD Channel 32 - from which I'm still looking for the opening or any footage at all really from the WFLD Creature Feature (not the same as WGN Creature Features). In any case, WLVI was a sister station to WFLD - first under Kaiser Broadcasting and then Field Communications - from 1973 to 1983; so hey, it's still historically significant.

Recording coming in midway through promo for the "Creature Feature" (with just the single creepy head as opposed to the double head) that evening at 10pm (the movie was "Them" [1954]) Cool that we get to see the slide at least. (voiceover by Tom Evans)

[By the way, according to the TV listings, Outer Limits was the show on before this, which was recorded over - so who knows, maybe we'll find more of these openings at the ends of tapes] Thanks as usual to our master schedule sleuth, Chris Tufts!

(and yes, sadly, the tape ran out before the first commercial break came about)

This aired on local Boston/Cambridge TV on Saturday, January 15th 1977 from 1:00pm to 1:02pm.
