How To Stay Motivated to Produce Music

In this video I discuss what helps me stay motivated and I summarise it into 3 simple points. This video focuses on music production but can be applied to almost anything in life. What motivates you?

1) Find something or someone who motivates you, for me this is usually another artist or creator.
When I'm trying to motivate myself to practice guitar, I listen to John Mayer or go to "Paul Davids" on YouTube. Hearing the beautiful guitar work or seeing an inspiring personality helps me keep working to achieve my goals.

2) Look back at your previous completed projects/videos/songs and look at the growth you are experiencing over time. Think about how much more you will know or achieve in the next year? In the last year I know that I have made a lot of progress as a musician, video creator, film maker etc but day to day I can feel like I'm not making a lot of progress at all. Remind yourself of how far you've come :)

3) Remind yourself why you are doing it. Make sure you have a clear reason behind what you are doing. When you remind yourself why you are doing something, it will help you stay focused and motivated.
