As you are aware GeM is a trust based portal which allows Sellers to upload catalogs on their own.
Several instances of uploading of catalogs with wrong Specifications / Images / COO details / MII details or certification details etc. have been reported. It may please be noted that such breach of trust is treated very severely and actions include suspension of seller accounts as per Gem IM policy.
We are excited to extend to you a one-time opportunity to discontinue your product catalogue which is either wrongly uploaded/approved or the End of life products on GeM. This correction window will be open from Sep-01, 2023 to Sept-15, 2023, providing ample time for you to review and update your product listings. In the time you are allowed to discontinue the wrongly uploaded catalogs or End of life products. This exercise will help to maintain the market sanity. Also it helps you in future to avoid any pre contract incidents raised regarding wrong information etc.
Incidents already raised against your wrong catalogs will be treated as per GeM IM policy and action would continue. Further, it may be noted that after the above stated time period is over, GeM is going to start a campaign for market sanity and if you fail to remove all your wrong catalogs during this amnesty time window, very strict action as per GeM IM policy would be taken.
