It's easy to forget, even the French forget, the origins, history and stories behind some of France's most notorious stereotypes.

So I decided to get to the bottom of some of Frances most pervasive French stereotypes and clichés. Most of which the French are sick and tired of hearing about.

Except for the wine stereotype of course. And maybe the cheese one too. But of course!

Have you ever stopped for a second to think about what TV and movies have taught us about French People? I for one got to thinking about Pepe Le Pew from Looney Toons - the first French man I ever met! Little did I realise how much he contributed to the French stereotypes I had and the general myths about French people.

Do French people smell? Are French men romantic? Are French people really arrogant?...

Let's explore this list of stereotypes about French people in depth as we try to debunk some French people myths.
