Boatyard Life: Living on the Hard (Prepping for our Great Loop Cruising Season Ahead!)

Welcome to the start of our 2025 cruising season aboard our Bayliner 4788! We stored for winter at Atlantic Yacht Basin in Chesapeake, VA - and have been back about a month getting Y-Not commissioned and for ready to resume our Great Loop!

But first, tackling some under boat projects like thru-hulls, stuffing boxes, re-pitching the props and new anti-fouling bottom paint. Which requires being hauled out.

We've been able to live aboard while the boat is 'on the hard' - and we're sharing some tips and challenges to living on a boat while it's not in the water.
