Be A Rose 🌹 - an illustrated poem

Small talk and extraversion, confidence in crowds
I envied those who stole the show, where compliments abound
They then gave me tools, to make a change, and fit the mold
But the truth, that I will share with you, is what they never told,
If you try to be a cactus, when you are a rose,
You will feel unnatural, in the environment it grows
If instead you look within, and honor what you find,
And place yourself in settings, where you’re healthy and aligned
Your softness will then blossom into beauty seldom found
Where others wither, you’ll stand firmly, rooted in the ground
If you’re a rose, then be a rose, and in turn you will find,
the strength within your nature shining brightly, from your mind
