Old Tbilisi Restaurant - Amazing Georgian Cuisine in Global Village, Dubai. 4K

We made an error at the end in labeling the Khachapuri. The correct name for this version is Adjaruli Khachapuri.

Old Tbilisi Restaurant located in Global Village here in Dubai has just opened. We were headed to another of our favorite places to eat when we noticed it as we walked by.

We stopped to check the menu as Georgian cuisine was a favorite of ours when we visited Tbilisi. Our first question was: Were the khinkali fresh made or frozen? as we made that mistake in Tbilisi. We were told that the chef is from Georgia and everything is freshly made.

We later verified this as we were very lucky and they let me in the kitchen for a moment to shoot a couple of quick video clips that we included here.

We really enjoyed the food and while it is not as good as the old soviet restaurant we ate in on the side of a mountain in rural Georgia it is far better than the tourist traps in Tbilisi.

They were also serving a small grilled baby chicken that looked very good. They recommended it but we already had our mindset on Khinkali and Khachapuri.

We recommend it and hope they open a permanent restaurant here in Dubai so we can enjoy it year-round as Global Village is closed during the summer.
