#shorts: Power BI DAX: Use VAR and SWITCH to Tag Values

In example by tagging parts of Day to report values, we can find the differences of blood pressures in Morning and in Evening.

By DAX Variable statement with SWITCH logical function, we have a way to tag Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night to our report values based on each record’s time. By this method we can easy to adjust the label scope and name via changing the variables. The Switch function helps us simply to define and create logic conditions.

This DAX method can be applied and extended to many other tagging cases.
