Man caught driving dangerously through Plymouth in stolen car

A man caught in a stolen car driving dangerously through the city centre, narrowly avoiding other vehicles and skidding around corners, has been jailed.

Simon Davis of Catterick Close, Plymouth, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court on April 12 after he admitted a series of offences which took place on February 27 this year.

Police said a black Ford Fiesta was left in front of a breaker's yard in Coxside on the evening of February 26 and the keys left in the nearby office. In the early hours CCTV picked up Davis, aged 28, approaching the car and heading off, wearing clothes he was found in later the same day.
