Follow the steps below to deactivate your Instagram account:
1. Open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android phone.
2. Select the profile button in the bottom right of the Instagram app.
3. Select the 3 horizontal lines in the top right.
4. Once in the settings select See more in Accounts Center.
5. Select Personal details.
6. Select Account ownership and control then select Deactivation or deletion.
7. Choose the Instagram account you want to deactivate.
8. Make sure Deactivate account is selected then select Continue.
