How to Bleed Motorcycle Brakes: Yamaha FZ6

In this video I will show you the procedure for bleeding non-ABS motorcycle brakes. This 2007 Yamaha FZ6 takes DOT 4 brake fluid but always consult with your service manual or reservoir cap for fluid details. This process crosses over to nearly all non-ABS motorcycle brakes and the principle method applies to cars as well. Never use old brake fluid that was opened months ago because even if it was stored with the cap on it can absorb water from the air and lower the boiling point making it unsafe to use.

Tools you'll need:
8mm wrench
small length of 3/16" inner diameter hose (clear hose preferred)
New brake fluid
Container to catch old fluid
