GCSE French Speaking Tips! How to get from 4-5 to 9!

The GCSE French speaking exam can go horribly wrong if you don't prepare, but how is someone meant to prepare for them? Well, today I go into more depth from my GCSE French video, to specifically the speaking exam and how you can practise for the different parts: role play, photo card and general conversation.

Key Phrases: (I couldn't get a link for the doc, so I'll just write them all here, brace yourself)
ROLE PLAY VOCAB
A quelle heure (commence / commencent / finit / finissent/ ouvre/ ferme )..... ? - At what time does … start/finish? open/ close?

Est-ce qu’il y a …….(des bons restaurants à Strasbourg) ? - Are there any (good restaurants in Strasbourg)?

Où est / sont... ? - Where is/are/…?

Est-ce qu’il faut (+ INFINITIVE) ? - Is it necessary to + infinitive?

quand est-ce que je peux commencer? - when can I start?
quel est votre numéro de téléphone? - what is your phone number?

Quel genre de (musique / nourriture) aimes-tu / préfères-tu ? - What type of music/food do you prefer/like?

Quelle est ta matière préférée / ton sport préféré / ton genre de musique préféré ? - What is your favourite subject/sport/genre of music?

tu aimes quelle sorte de musique? - what kind of music do you like?
(change the tu in all of these to vous if needed)

je voudrais acheter/ réserver….. - I would like to buy/book....

Il s’agit de... - It’s about/We are dealing here with...

Force est de constater que – One cannot help stating that
On pourrait aller même jusqu'à dire que – One could go so far as to say that

Bien qu’il faille reconnaître qu’il y a des avantages de (voyager, par exemple), on doit auissi reconnaître qu’il y a des inconvénients - Although one must recognise that there are advantages of (travelling, for example), one must also recognise that there are disadvantages

Quoi qu'il en soit (je voudrais...) – Whatever the case (I would like to...)
