WHO : TDR - Preventing malaria and schistosomiasis due to climate change in Cote d’Ivoire
Climate changes are making Cote d’Ivoire more vulnerable to malaria and schistosomiasis. New research is finding community-based solutions by merging the studies of mosquitoes, water, temperatures, land management and social sciences. TDR, the WHO-hosted Special Programme for Research and Training, is working with the International Development Research Centre of Canada to coordinate research that brings together international and national scientists to identify sustainable solutions.
