A macular hole refers to a full-thickness defect in the neurosensory retina at the macular. This can lead to several visual symptoms like blurring of vision, metamorphopsia, distorted vision, or scotomas in the visual field.⚓🚦

Treatment option includes surgical intervention in the form of pars plana vitrectomy with Internal limiting membrane peeling, and gas tamponade.
Post-operative care includes a strict prone position for 3-5 days. 🙇
The surgical success of macular hole surgeries primarily depends upon the duration of the macular hole.🎯
You must visit a retina specialist at the earliest if you have been diagnosed with a macular hole.
