Gayledzor - Spitakavor Monastery Spring 2019-2020

Mountains, mountains, mountains ... This place has its unique beauty and charm. In Spring this place is infinitely green with its fast-paced landscapes and millennial natural images.

We were lucky to be here twice, in 2019 and 2020. For the first time, it was an "easy" hiking to Spitakavor Monastery. We started from Gladzor village, the road was very beautiful, rocks, forests, ascent ... And this small monastery from the 14th century. It is also known as a pilgrimage place, as one of the greatest Armenian men, Garegin Nzhdeh, rests in the yard of the monastery.

Not far from the monastery there is a pure spring, the water of which is the only and most desirable thing after a long hike.

In 2020, we started climbing to Gayledzor nearby monastery. An indescribably beautiful view opened from the top. Here I heard this phrase. "Armenia is so small that you can see it completely from any peak." There is truth in what has been said, as Mount Ararat and Geghama Mountains were clearly visible, perhaps we could even see Khustup while looking very attentively.
