A Day Trip to Chartres 2009

In November 2009, with our base in Paris, we took a day trip to Chartres by SNCF Rail. As it is not far from Paris, and we planned to go out of town for the day, Chartres seems to be the best choice. Yes, indeed it was a good quiet trip. Unlike Paris, not flocked by many tourists. chartres is famous for its cathedral. The cathedral is also known as Cathedral of Our Lady of Chartres. The two tall spires with the interior designed famous for the blue stained glass window, one should come here to admire its architecture. A walkabout in town, you feel the old times have not changed.
