Septal Myectomy in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

Dr. Kimberly Holst, a Surgical Resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, Reviews her article appearing in the January 2019 issue of Mayo Clinic Proceedings, which examined the length of hospital stay, morbidity, and mortality, for patients when receiving concomitant surgical procedures that are thought to be beningn in conjunction with septal myectomy, and found increases in all factors when compared with septal myectomy procedures alone.
