This baby elephant had fallen on the ground with wounds. unfortunately, other elephants were trying to take him back to his heard. The wild life officers informed the veterinary doctor and his team. immediately doctor and his team attend to the matter. By that time other elephants had not let anyone to get closer to the baby elephant. As the elephants were behaving aggressively it was rather the difficult for the team to take a calf for its herd. As there was not sufficient "enough" space for the calf in the cab, it had to be taken to a another cab for the convenient transport. The calf was suffered parasitic infectious diseases and injuries. Antibiotics, vitamins and fluid therapy were given to the calf to recover and be strong. After the treatments it become healthy gradually. After the calf was handed over to Girithale Animal Hospital by veterinary team. Thanks a lot, to the veterinary team for saving the innocent baby elephant from its pathetic situation.
