Violent clashes between protesters and police in Turkiye have continued for a fifth night, after Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu was jailed.

Canada’s newly sworn in Prime Minister has called a snap election to take place on the 28th of April.

US mediators have held talks with Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia in the latest effort to bring an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine.
