‎Celebrities at the event included actresses Funke Akindele, Dayo Amusan, Kate Henshaw, Omoni Oboli, Nancy Isime, Ini Edo, Blessing Nze, and Ruth Kadiri; actors Ike Ogbonna, Stan Nze, Kunle Remi, and Mike Godson; comedian AY; Yomi Casual; Frank Edoho; Cubana Chief Priest; Kcee; E-Money; Chike; and Nambam, among others.

‎Many spoke lovingly of Alex Ekubo, calling him friendly and taking on people’s burdens.
‎
‎Ik Ogbonna spoke of Alex as a brother he had from another mother, who advised him as they playfully abused each other.
‎
‎The late actor will be laid to rest in his hometown, Ujari Village, in Abia State on June 18, 2026.
